While you don’t really need an office (although we have them in both London and Leicestershire), every project comprises a team of people, coordinated by you, coming together to solve problems and realise a plan. The work demands frequent client and partner contact be that could be in London or wherever else we’re needed, and your social skills will certainly be tested in uniting the range of stakeholders in the project and resolving their issues to keep things moving.
Big companies are great for lots of things like structures, process, career paths, and continuity, but not so great for more emotionally satisfying things. Smaller businesses offer greater involvement in everything — sometimes too many things — more variety, more visibility, and a greater freedom to operate as you like.
We don’t expect you to follow an inflexible corporate process, or seek familiar answers to problems, but encourage you to stretch goals, challenge thinking and solve problems imaginatively.

As a member of our team you will be working on new build and refurbishment projects throughout the project life cycle and will be engaging directly with clients, sometimes becoming an integrated part of their team to define the project, write the programme, agree the brief and scope before managing a skilled multi-disciplined teams to deliver your plan.
Whilst as a Project Manager, you’ll have all the necessary technical skills and expertise covered by every other PM job description it’s not the knowledge of construction, programmes, contracts, appointments, warranties, invoices, risk management and reporting that will make the difference, it’s your attitude, it’s your ability to get on with it that will make the real difference.
